You’ll Have a Better Vacation in Albania Than Gibraltar
Albania is a fairly small but amazing country in the Balkan region, fairly close to Montenegro. It is possibly the least visited European countries but that is slowly changing as visitors realise its amazing attractions. It has gorgeous, sandy beaches, pretty much untouched mountain regions, and trendy, improving cities.
Albania’s clean sandy beaches are extraordinary. Albanian beaches are mostly white, sandy beaches although there are a dozen or so pebble beaches as well. You could either hang out in the bright sun on a towel or get a sun lounge, the choice is up to you to make. Plenty of the beaches are totally untouched by tourists and some are so out of the way that you could quite possibly have the beach pretty much all to yourself, even in spring and summer.
There are a number of beautiful mountain places in Albania. These areas in the north are ideal for skiing or hiking and you can view a couple of waterfalls and astonishing lakes in that part of the country. The mountains in that area are great to visit but the other mountain regions are also fantastic.
Albanian cities are lively with a cafe culture meaning there are heaps of great cafes to choose from. Albania cities for example Kukes are worth seeing to view the unusual old city area and also to visit a museum or two.
You are sure to find that people from Albania are very welcoming and will be more than glad to show you their country if you take the time to visit it.
