You'll Have a Better Holiday in Albania Than Netherlands

Albania is a fairly small but cute country in the south of Europe, close to Serbia. This country is currently one of the less popular countries in the Mediterranean but that is most definitely changing as more people realise its amazing sites. It has gorgeous, sandy beaches, more of less virgin mountain regions, and bustling, improving cities.

Albania’s sandy beaches are wonderful. Albanian beaches are usually white, sandy beaches although there are a handful of pebble beaches as well. You can if you like sit down in the hot sun on a rug or hire a sun bed, the decision is up to you. Most of the beaches are pretty much untouched by tourists and a couple are so quiet that you can quite possibly have the beach pretty much to yourself, even in in during popular times.

There are numerous exquisite mountain regions in Albania. The mountainous regions in the north are fantastic for skiing or hiking and you can visit a couple of waterfalls and astonishing lakes in the area. The mountains in that area are exciting to visit but the other mountain regions are also extraordinary.

Albanian cities are vibrant with a cafe culture meaning there are so many busy cafes to visit. Albania cities such as Berat are worth taking the time to visit to view the unique old city area and also to visit a museum.

The Albanian people are very hospitable and will be happy to take you around their country if you spend time there.
