Why I Prefer Albania Over Uruguay

Albania is a relatively small but pretty country in the Balkans, near Macedonia. Albania is probably the least visited countries in the Mediterranean but that is about to change as more people start to take notice of its amazing beauty. It has amazing, clean sandy beaches, pretty much untouched mountain regions, and bustling, changing cities.

Albania’s clean sandy beaches are unbelievable. The beaches are mostly white, sandy beaches although of course there are a couple of pebble beaches also. You can either have fun in the hot dry sun on a blanket or pay for a sun bed, the decision is yours to make. Most of the beaches are virtually untouched by foreign visitors and a number are so remote that you could possibly have the beach to yourself, even in spring and summer.

There are plenty of fantastic mountain areas in Albania. The mountains in the north are extraordinary for skiing or hiking and you can see plenty of waterfalls and spectacular lakes in the region. The mountains in that region are brilliant to see but the other mountain regions are also spectacular.

Albanian cities are lively with a cafe culture so there are many great cafes to relax in. Albania cities for example Fier are worth seeing to view the unique old city area and not to mention to visit a few museums.

The Albanian people are very welcoming and will be more than happy to take you around their country if you are there.
