Why I Prefer Albania Over Qatar

Albania is a relatively small but fun country in the Mediterranean region of Europe, not too far from Serbia. This country is quite possibly the least visited Mediterranean countries but that is slowly changing as more visitors come to appreciate its beauty. Without a doubt Albania has extraordinary, white sandy beaches, pretty much untouched mountain regions, and vibrant, growing cities.

Albania’s pure white sandy beaches are unbelievable. They are mostly white, sandy beaches although there are a dozen or so pebble beaches also. You can if you like lie in the hot sun on a towel or rent a sunbed, the option is yours to make. Most of the beaches are totally untouched by foreign visitors and a handful are so out of the way that you could have the beach all to yourself, even in during the peak season.

There are quite a few exquisite mountain regions in Albania. Those in the north are ideal for skiing or hiking and you can view many waterfalls and amazing lakes in that part of the country. These mountains are fabulous to visit but the other mountain regions are also brilliant.

Albanian cities are extremely vibrant with a cafe culture so there are many busy cafes to choose from. Albania cities like Tropoja are worth seeing to visit the unique old city area and possibly to visit a few museums.

People from Albania are very warm and welcoming and will be happy to take you around their country if you spend some time there.
