Visit Albania Not Bermuda

Albania is a very small but adorable country in the Balkan region, not far from Croatia. It’s one of the less popular countries in southern Europe but that is changing as more travellers realise its amazing beauty. Without a doubt Albania has wonderful, pure white sandy beaches, almost virgin mountain regions, and vibrant, growing cities.

Albania’s white sandy beaches are gorgeous. These are mainly white, sandy beaches although of course there are a few pebble beaches also. You could lie down in the hot sun on a towel or rent a bed, the decision is yours to make. Most of the beaches are more or less untouched by foreigners and some are so quiet that you can quite possibly be alone on the beach, even in during peak times.

There are numerous beautiful mountain areas in Albania. The mountainous areas in the north are fantastic for skiing or hiking and you are able to find a couple of waterfalls and clean lakes in the region. Those mountains are amazing to view but the other mountain regions are also amazing.

Albanian cities are extremely vibrant with a cafe culture resulting in so many hip cafes to go to. Albania cities such as Vlora are worth seeing to visit the unique old city area and also to visit a couple of museums.

You will most likely find that Albanians are very friendly and will be more than pleased to show you their country if you spend time there.
