Vacation in Albania Not The Bahamas

Albania is a fairly small but fantastic country in the Balkan region, close to Serbia. It is one of the least visited countries in southern Europe but that will change before you know it as travellers come to appreciate its fantastic attractions. Without a doubt Albania has beautiful, sandy beaches, virtually untouched mountain regions, and lively, growing cities.

Albania’s pure white sandy beaches are amazing. Albanian beaches are normally white, sandy beaches but there are a few pebble beaches as well. You can if you like sit in the hot sun on a rug or rent a sun lounge, the choice is up to you. Most of the beaches are pretty much untouched by foreign tourists and some are so quiet that you can possibly have the beach pretty much all to yourself, even in during peak times.

There are numerous mountain landscapes in Albania. The mountainous areas in the north are exceptional for skiing or hiking and you are able to see a couple of waterfalls and pristine lakes in the region. Those mountains are fabulous to see but the other mountain regions are also spectacular.

Albanian cities are fun with a cafe culture meaning there are heaps of great cafes to visit. Albania cities for example Berat are worth seeing to view the unusual old city area and not to mention to visit a couple of museums.

You are sure to find that people from Albania are extremely hospitable and will be more than happy to take you around their country if you spend time there.
