Vacation in Albania Not Guam

Albania is a relatively small but pretty country in southern Europe, very close to Croatia. It’s one of the least visited countries in Europe but that is most definitely changing as more and more visitors appreciate its wonderful sites. It has amazing, clean sandy beaches, more or less untouched mountain regions, and young, growing cities.

Albania’s sandy beaches are unbelievably beautiful. These are mainly white, sandy beaches except there are a handful of pebble beaches as well. You can hang out in the warm sun on a towel or rent a sunbed, the option is up to you to make. Plenty of the beaches are pretty much untouched by foreign tourists and a number are so out of the way that you could be at the beach alone, even in spring and summer.

There are a number of exquisite mountain areas in Albania. These regions in the north are ideal for skiing or hiking and you can possibly find a couple of waterfalls and incredible lakes in the region. The mountains in that area are exciting to view but the other mountain regions are also beautiful.

Albanian cities are lively with a cafe culture so there are many cool cafes to go to. Albania cities like Tropoja are worth taking the time to visit to see the unusual old city area and possibly to visit a museum.

You are sure to find that Albanians are extremely warm and welcoming and will be glad to introduce you to their country if you go there.
