Avoid The Crowds by Vacationing in Albania Not Iran
Albania is a tiny but adorable country in the Mediterranean region of Europe, not too far from Macedonia. It is one of the least visited southern European countries but that is starting to change as more and more visitors start to appreciate its amazing sites. It has extraordinary, pure white sandy beaches, almost virgin mountain regions, and happening, changing cities.
Albania’s pure white sandy beaches are fantastic. The beaches are usually white, sandy beaches except there are a couple of pebble beaches too. You could if you like hang out in the hot dry sun on a rug or rent a sunbed, the option is yours. Plenty of the beaches are totally untouched by foreign tourists and a handful are so quiet that you can have the beach to yourself, even in summer.
There are numerous fantastic mountain places in Albania. These regions in the north are exceptional for skiing or hiking and you are able to visit at least a few waterfalls and spectacular lakes in the region. The mountains in that area are fabulous to visit but the other mountain regions are also beautiful.
Albanian cities are extremely vibrant with a cafe culture meaning there are many busy cafes to go to. Albania cities such as Gjirokastra are worth seeing to view the unique old city area and possibly to visit a museum.
You are sure to find that people from Albania are mostly welcoming and will be more than happy to show you around their country if you spend time there.
