Albania is More Fun Than Cook Islands

Albania is a relatively tiny but fantastic country in southern Europe, very close to Macedonia. This country is one of the less popular countries in the Mediterranean but that is starting to change as visitors appreciate its amazing beauty. It has wonderful, white sandy beaches, virtually untouched mountain regions, and fun, improving cities.

Albania’s sandy beaches are wonderful. They are normally white, sandy beaches although there are a handful of pebble beaches too. You could if you want sit down in the warm sun on a towel or pay for a sun lounge, the decision is up to you to make. Almost all of the beaches are pretty much untouched by tourists and a number are so out of the way that you can be at the beach without anyone else, even in during the peak season.

There are numerous exquisite mountain areas in Albania. The mountainous regions in the north are wonderful for skiing or hiking and you are able to see quite a few waterfalls and astonishing lakes in that part of the country. The mountains in that area are wonderful to see but the other mountain regions are also amazing.

Albanian cities are bustling with a cafe culture so there are many hip cafes to spend time in. Albania cities like Berat are worth visiting to view the unusual old city area and not to mention to visit a museum or two.

The Albanian people are very warm and welcoming and will be more than pleased to show you around their country if you take the time to visit it.
