Albania is More Fun Than Congo

Albania is a little but adorable country in the south of Europe, very close to Serbia. Albania is currently one of the less popular Mediterranean countries but that is slowly changing as people come to appreciate its amazing attractions. It has unbelievable, white sandy beaches, more or less untouched mountain regions, and lively, growing cities.

Albania’s sandy beaches are exceptional. Albanian beaches are generally white, sandy beaches but there are a handful of pebble beaches as well. You could sit in the hot dry sun on a rug or get a sun lounge, the choice is up to you to make. Most of the beaches are more or less untouched by foreign tourists and a couple are so quiet that you could quite possibly have the beach pretty much all to yourself, even in August.

There are many exquisite mountain places in Albania. The mountainous regions in the north are lovely for skiing or hiking and you are able to find at least a couple of waterfalls and incredible lakes in the region. These mountains are wonderful to view but the other mountain regions are also fantastic.

Albanian cities are vibrant with a cafe culture leading to huge numbers of great cafes to visit. Albania cities such as Vlora are worth seeing to view the historic old city area and possibly to visit a few museums.

Without a doubt you will find that Albanians are mostly hospitable and will be glad to show you their country if you take the time to visit it.
