Albania is Better Than Macedonia
Albania is a tiny but very pretty country in the Mediterranean region of Europe, not too far from Serbia. Albania is quite possibly the least visited European countries but that will change before you know it as more and more visitors notice its amazing sites. It has wonderful, pure white sandy beaches, virgin mountain regions, and young, growing cities.
Albania’s white sandy beaches are extraordinary. These are mainly white, sandy beaches although there are a few pebble beaches as well. You could either lie in the warm sun on a towel or pay for a sun lounge, the choice is yours to make. A lot of the beaches are totally untouched by visitors and a few are so quiet that you could possibly have the beach pretty much all to yourself, even in spring and summer.
There are numerous mountainous places in Albania. The mountainous regions in the north are exceptional for skiing or hiking and you are able to view plenty of waterfalls and astonishing lakes in that part of the country. Those mountains are wonderful to visit but the other mountain regions are also brilliant.
Albanian cities are bustling with a cafe culture resulting in plenty of busy cafes to choose from. Albania cities such as Shkodra are worth visiting to see the unusual old city area and possibly to visit a couple of museums.
You are sure to find that people from Albania are very hospitable and will be excited to introduce you to their country if you spend some time there.
